Headache care, without the wait

The same neurologist every time: one who knows you, and who you can actually reach.

Most people with migraine wait months for a neurologist and leave a short visit without a real plan. Aura is built the other way around.

Time with your doctor

A 60-minute first visit to understand your full headache history, not just today's symptoms.

Care from home

Video visits mean no driving across the Valley or sitting in a waiting room during a migraine.

Focused on headache

Migraine, cluster headache, headache after injury, and the cases other treatments haven't solved.

Clear pricing

Simple monthly or annual membership, or a single visit. No surprise bills.

Meet the founders

Why we started Aura

Aura began at home. Amrita has lived with chronic migraine for years and knows the long waits, rushed appointments and trial-and-error that so many people with migraine go through. Dr. Khosla, a neurologist, saw the same frustration in his patients. Together, we built the practice we wished existed: one neurologist who knows you, care from home by video, and a team you can actually reach. Our goal is simple: more good days for the people we care for.

Dr. Tanvir Khosla

Tanvir Khosla, MD

Co-Founder & Medical Director

Board-certified neurologist · Neurophysiology fellowship, UC Davis

As a neurologist, Dr. Khosla has seen how much headache and migraine can take from people: missed work, missed time with family, and years of trying treatments that don't work. He co-founded Aura so his patients would always know who their doctor is, and be able to reach him when they need him.

Amrita Kang

Amrita Kang, MBA, MPH

Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer

Amrita has lived with chronic migraine for years, and she knows how hard it can be to find care that's timely, consistent and personal. She brings more than 15 years of experience in healthcare and digital health, and holds an MBA and an MPH from the University of Arizona. At Aura, she leads operations and the patient experience, making sure every member gets the access and attention she always wanted as a patient.

Questions

How do visits work?

All visits happen by secure video, so you can see Dr. Khosla from home, work or anywhere in Arizona. If you ever need an exam or test that can't be done by video, we'll help you arrange it locally.

Who can use telemedicine?

Patients who are physically in Arizona at the time of the visit.

Where are you located?

Aura is an Arizona telemedicine practice. We see patients by secure video anywhere in the state.

Do you take insurance?

Aura is a cash-pay practice and doesn't bill insurance directly. We give you an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Medications, imaging and lab tests can still go through your insurance.

How much will it cost?

We'll offer monthly and annual memberships, as well as single visits. Pricing will be shared with the waitlist before we open.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can book directly with us.

Do you see children or teenagers?

No. Aura cares for adults 18 and older. For younger patients, we recommend a pediatric neurologist.

Is Aura a replacement for emergency care?

No. If you have a sudden, severe headache or signs of a stroke, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
